When you run a QIAGEN CLC Workbench using an evaluation license, you have unlimited access to the full functionality of the software.

The only difference between using an evaluation license and a purchased license is that evaluation licenses expire after a short time period (e.q. 2 weeks).

When CLC Workbenches are run without a valid license, they run in "Viewing Mode". In this mode, import, export and viewing functionality is available. Please refer to the relevant manual for further information about the Viewing Mode.

Viewing Mode was introduced in CLC Genomics Workbench 11.0 and CLC Main Workbench 8.0. When older Workbenches are run without a valid license, they run in "Limited Mode". This mode allowed for less functionality then Viewing Mode. Information about Limited Mode can be found via the manual built into these Workbenches.
